Thank you for your interest in the Tampa Bay Vizsla Club Rescue  fostering program.

While dogs without significant health or behavioral concerns are placed directly with adoptive families, we require foster care for the following situations:

- Medical Care: Dogs with medical issues that must be resolved prior to adoption.

- Recovery: Post-operative care following spay or neuter procedures.

- Evaluation: Assessment for dogs with no known history.

- Behavioral Assessment: Observation to ensure a successful permanent placement.

Foster families are responsible for monitoring the dog's behavior and providing daily reports to the Rescue Coordinator. If you work outside the home, someone must be available to let the dog out midday.

Please note that some foster dogs may have restricted activity levels and cannot participate in runs or hikes. Additionally, because we often lack history on these dogs, we cannot guarantee their behavior with children or other pets; therefore, we prefer foster homes without children.

TBVC Rescue will provide all necessary food, supplies, and medical coverage. Please note that all expenses must be approved by the Rescue Coordinator before being submitted to the Treasurer.

If you can provide a suitable environment for a Vizsla in need, please complete our foster application
